We went to another Sandal’s Resort called the Whitehouse on the south side of
the island. Beautiful sunsets.
It only rained at the resort one night while we ate dinner but had stopped
already when we finished our meal.
We were with our good friends Dick & Barb Dilley, who were our neighbors.
The resort is really spread out. They have three villages (Italian, Dutch and
French) and a lot of walking which was good to get rid of the extra pounds.
There were enough restaurants to eat from all day and night along with a martini
piano bar area at night. I love the Watermelon and Milkway ones.
They had a Paris café with all the pastry and coffee drinks from 6:30am-11:
00pm. We all loved the choices. White and dark chocolates.
They had two buffets at 11:00pm. One on Friday, which was my favorite as, it was
seafood with King Crab Legs split, shrimp, Suzui and other fish assortments.
The other one was the chocolate buffet at 11:00 PM on Tuesday. They had white
and dark fudge, plain and with nuts, chocolate covered nuts and fruits plus the
fountain for dipping strawberry and fruit. Assorted chocolate sculptors.
I had lobster tails two nights---very delicious!
I flew my kite and when you got halfway around the one point on the beach of the
island the wind direction changed and the kite took a nosedive for me.
We went on one tour to the Appleton RUM factory where we bought three bottles of
rum. At CUSTOMS in Charlotte, he said 55galons I brought back to get a laugh out
of me and for everyone else to hear him say 55 gallons.
They say there are 2.50 beach chairs for every person on the beach and I believe
it. Around the pool area the chairs all have the 4” mattress covers. No- seeums
bit Barb and Dick but not us. Either the bugs are in the mats on the pool chairs
or the flowerbeds around the pool. Why them and not us is anyone’s guess and
other guests had complained too. They say they spray the beach area every two
weeks. Maybe they should spray around the flowerbeds and mats on the beach
chairs every 10 days instead of two weeks.
We met the new F&B manager Kevin, who made sure we had cakes for Barb’s birthday
and our anniversary.
I did put some notes on the pictures of the butter sculptors of Bob Marilee and
Dolphins in Eleanor ‘s restaurant. They did taste like butter too.
