I was over in China for the first time and had spend 5 weeks away from home. I company has an office there with a factory, who builds our ovens. I was there to start 6 ovens, which were almost done mechanically and I had to tell them how to mount the electrical device, wire and start the equipment. I stayed about 40 minutes away by morning traffic and 1 1/2 hours to drive back to hotel. They would drive in the emergency lanes even the bus. Cut you off and beep the horns. I would be picked up with other 3 office people every morning with a driver. I stayed at the Shanghai Olympic Hotel which is around an Olympic area where the Special Olympic was held. I walked around that area a lot at night and found places to eat. The food was okay. I had a lot of white rice of cource. I had picked up a cold four days after I had arived and it last right before I had left Shanghai. I had a great time with Minstrel, Ouyang, and Zack in our ITS office, who are my new firends. |
