3. JOSEPH3 DISHER (JACOB PHILLP2, FRANZ1) was born April 1, 1871 in Village of Tuchlin, District of Kartuzy, Gdansk Province, Poland, and died November 17, 1930 in Chicago,Cook County IL.. He married ANASTASIA MANKIEWICZ January 10, 1893 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Polonia, Portage County, WI.. She was born 1875 in Town of Sharon, Portage County,WI..Notes for JOSEPH DISHER: Stevens Point Daily Journal Thursday, November 21, 1930 Obituary Joseph Dishler The remains of Joseph Dishler, former resident of Portage county, who died in Chicago, were brought to to Stevens Point this morning and are now at the Boston funeral home, where the funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Burial will follow in the Plover cemetery. The deceased who was 60 years of age, was a son of Jacob Disher of Plover village, and had changed his name to Dishler. Besides his father, he is survived by his wife, who was formerly Miss Stacia Mansavage of Stockton, and by four brothers and three sisters, as follows, John and Lawrence Disher of Meehan, Jacob Disher Jr. of Fancher, Frank S. Disher of 1209 Main street, city, Mrs. Anton Ksonsk of Polonia, Mrs. John Singer of Meehan and Mrs. Herek of Galloway. Mr. Dishler was born in Germany-Poland and came to this country with his parents when a boy of 14. They located on a farm three miles west of Nelsonville, where he was raised. He subsequently moved to Milwaukee, returned to Portage county to re-engage in farming, and went to Chicago eight years ago. His death was caused by pernicious anemia and followed an extended illness. He was in poor health last summer when he came home for a visit among relatives. Stevens Point Daily Journal Monday, November 24, 1930 Joseph Dishler Funeral The funeral of Joseph Dishler, former Portage county resident who died in Chicago was held Saturday afternoon at the Boston funeral home, which was filled with relatives and friends. F. Petran of Wausau officiated and burial followed in the Plover cemetery. The pallbearers were Anton, Luke, Felix, and Jacob Mansavage, Michael Stasko and Stanislaus Cyra. The following came from out of town for the funeral; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Repeski, Chris. Mansavage and Mrs. Joseph Dishler and son Joseph, Jr., all of Chicago, the latter two being the widow and son of the deceased; Mr. and Mrs. Martin Dombrowski and family of Hammond, Ind.; Louis Mansavage, Dan Mansavage, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Mansavage and Mrs Frank Osowski, all of Milwaukee.
