Notes for PETER OKONIEWSKI: Stevens Point Daily Journal Saturday, December 31, 1938 Obituary Peter Okonieski Peter Okonieski, 37, of Shawano, son of Mrs. Clementia Zblewski, 121 Portage street, died Monday morning at 10 o'clock at Memorial hospital at Sheboygan after a long illness. Mr. Okonieski was born on April 6, 1901, at Bevent. He came to Stevens Point as a boy and attended Grant school and St. Peter's parochial school. When he was 17 he joined the navy and after serving four years, returned to Stevens Point. He went to Kohler 13 years ago and worked there until five years ago when he became ill. His marriage to Miss Loretta Wagner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Wagner of Sheboygan, took place on November 23, 1926. Surviving are his wife, his mother, three sisters, Mrs. Ray Nueman of Beaver Dam, Mrs. Edward Eckman of Irma, and Mrs. Agnes Jerzak , 234 North Second street, and a brother, Steve Okonieski of Marquette Michigan.
