Mary A. Eckman Mary A. Eckman, 88, 625 Portage St., died late Sunday evening at St. Michael's Hospital. She had been taken there earlier in the day by ambulance. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Catholic Church. The Rev. Bogdan Werra will officiate, and burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday at Dzikoski/Pisarski funeral Home. American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars auxillaries will combine for a ritual at 7 p.m. The Third Order of St. Francis and St. Peter Rosary Society will combine with the general rosary at 7:30 p.m. She was born Nov. 16, 1899, in Stevens Point, daughter of the late August and Clementine Okoniewski. She attended St. Peter Elementary School and Grant School. She was married to Edward Eckman in 1940, in Stevens Point. He died in 1968. Mrs. Eckman was a member of the St. Peter Rosary Society, Rose No. 25, for the last 20 years. She was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis, American Legion Post 6 Auxillary and the Gen. McGlachlin Post No. 568, Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxillary and the National Catholic Society of Foresters, St. Elizabeth Court No. 879. Survivors include four grandchildren, including Mark Maslowski, Whiting, and Judy (Donald) Somers, 5731 Porter Drive, Plover; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers, and two daughters.

Notes for EDWARD ECKMAN: Stevens Point Daily Journal Thursday, November 22, 1968 Obituary Edward Eckman Edward Eckman, 73, a former Stevens Point resident, died unexpectedly Monday at the Grand Army Home for Veterans, King. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Donald Bazinski at the King chapel Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Burial followed in the veterans' cemetery. The services were attended by relatives and friends from Stevens Point, Milwaukee, Racine, and Nekoosa. Mr. Eckman is survived by a sister, Mrs. Dora Tafelski, Stevens Point. His parents, four brothers, and a sister preceded him in death.
