Obituary

Mrs. Maslowski

Mrs. Henry Maslowski, 53, 908 Washington St., died at 12:45 p.m. Thursday at St. Michael's Hospital. She was taken to the hospital Monday, but had been a patient there several times in the past two years.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. The Rev. Chester Zelinski will officiate. Burial will be held later in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the Dzikoski Funeral Home, where the Rosary Society of St. Peter's Church will recite a rosary at 7:30. Mrs. Maslowski was a member of that organization.

Mrs. Maslowski formerly Alvina Wolosek, is the daughter of Mrs. Mary Eckman, 625 Portage St. She attended St. Peter's School and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School. She and Henry Maslowski were married May 28, 1928, (1938), and they settled in Stevens Point. They have lived at their present address since 1941. Mrs. Maslowski was a secretary for Catholic social services for 11 years and worked there until her illness. Mr. Maslowski is an employee of Bake-Rite Bakery.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Judy) Sommers, 2507 Warner St.; one son, Mark, Rochester, Minn; four grandchildren; her mother; one sister, Mrs. Virginia Kinateder, Milwaukee, and nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Obituary

Henry J. Maslowski

Henry J. Maslowski, 76, formerly of 908 Washington Ave., died this morning at River Pines Living Venter. He had been a resident there since 1981.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church with the Rev. Chester Osowski officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at Dzikoski Funeral Home. A general rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Mr. Maslowski was born Nov. 5, 1909 in the town of Sharon, a son of the late Barney and Victoria Maslowski. As a young man he attended schools in the town of Sharon. He was married to the former Alvina Wolosek on May 28, 1938, in Stevens Point, and they settled in Stevens Point, living at the Washington Avenue address since 1941. His wife died March 30, 1972. In 1942 he worked for the U.S. Army Corps of engineers in construction of the Alcan Highway in Alaska. He returned to Stevens Point in 1944 and was employed by the Baker-Rite Co. until retiring in 1974. He was a member of the Bakers Confectionary Union.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Donald Sommers, 5731 Porter Road, town of Plover; on son, Mark, 2268 Evergreen Court, Plover; one brother, Emil Marshfield; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
