Obituary

 Mrs. Frank (Bernice) Raschka Sr.

 Mrs. Frank (Bernice) Raschka Sr. 75, 2625 Minnesota Ave., died Sunday morning at St. Michael's Hospital. She had been a patient there for two days.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Stephen's Catholic Church. The Rev. Thomas Mullen will officiate, and burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Dzikoski/Pisarski Funeral Home. A general rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today.

She was born April 24, 1911, in the town of Grant, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Singer. She attended schools there. She was married to Frank Raschka on May 3, 1927, at St. Bronislava's Catholic Church, Plover. They settled in Stevens Point and lived at the present address for 54 years. He survives.

Survivors besides her husband include three sons, Edward, Greenfield, David, Waukesha, and Frank (Skip) Jr., 5676 Woodland Drive; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Johanna Kedrowski, Wisconsin Rapids, Mrs. Martha Ryan, Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. Belvine Worzalla, Mrs. Katherine Franks and Mrs. Margaret Soczka, all of Milwaukee.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

Obituary

 Frank Raschka Sr.

Frank Raschka Sr., 91, formerly of 2825 Minnesota Ave., died at the River Pines Nursing Center, where he had resided for the past 18 months.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Stephen Catholic Church with the Rev. Dennis Lynch officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil service.

Born Oct. 8, 1905, in Stuart, Neb., he was a son of the late Joseph and Rose (Hytrek) Raschka. He attended schools in the town of Hull. On May 3, 1927, he was married to Bernice Singer at St. Bronislava Catholic Church, Plover. After their marriage, the couple settled in Stevens Point. She died June 15, 1986.

In 1974, he retired after working for Whiting/Plover Paper for 47 years. He enjoyed ice fishing and gardening.

Survivors include three sons, Edward (Maxine), Beaver Dam, David (Bernice), Watertown, and Frank "Skip" Jr. (Joan), Stevens Point; three sisters, Ida Kedrowski, Stevens Point, Gertrude Lorbeck, Milwaukee, and Rose Niederer, Sun Prairie; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by six brothers, one sister and a grandson.

Rashka-Singer

Miss Bernice Singer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Singer of the town of Grant, and Frank Rashka, Stevens Point, son of Mrs. Rose Rashka of the town of Hull, were married this morning at 8 o'clock at St. Bronislava's church at Plover. Rev. S. Lapinski officiated and the double ring service was used.

The bride attired in a gown of white georgette and wearing a veil of silk net carried a shower bouquet of white roses and white sweet peas. She was attended by Miss Lucille Adams of the town of Stockton as bridesmaid. Miss Adams wore blue georgette and carried pink and white carnations. Little Evelyn Kiedrowski of Arnott was flower girl. Her dress was of pink voile and she carried a basket of sweet peas. Louis singer of Grant, brother of the bride was best man.

Members of 20 families were guests at wedding festivities at the home of the bride's parents today. A wedding dinner and supper were served interspersed with dancing.

Mr. and Mrs. Rashka plan to make their home in Stevens Point. The bridegroom is employed at factory A of the Joerns Bros. Furniture company.
