Obituary

Raymonrd J. Singer

Raymond J. Singer, 80, of 1811 Post Road, Plover, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, Oct. 10, 2006, at St. Michael's Hospital.

He was born march 19, 1926, in Plover to the late Frank and Mary (Shopinski) Singer. He attended local schools and P.J. Jacobs High School.

Ray entered the U.S. Navy on Dec. 31, 1943, in Milwaukee. He served on the USS Cecil during World War II. He received the World War II Victory Medal, the American Area Campaign Medal and the Asiatic-Pacific Area Campaign Medal. He was honorably discharged on May 31, 1946, at Great Lakes, Ill.

He was married to Camille Ciseski on June 16, 1956, at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Buena Vista. The couple settled in Plover and have lived at their present address the past 50 years. His wife Camille died Aug. 18, 2002.

Ray worked at Nekoosa paper Mill and Consolidated Papers for a number of years before working for Huettl Coaches until his retirement in 1992. He and his wife Camille then owned and operated Executive Limousine Service until 2000.

He was a member of the American Legion Plover Post 543, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Plover Post 10262. Ray enjoyed golfing and traveling, playing cards and bowling.

Survivors include one son, Jeff (Michele Noel) Singer of Racine; three daughters, Gina (Dale) Boettcher of Custer, Heidi (Kody) Brost of Portage and Peggy (Al) Pavelski of Stevens Point; nine grandchildren, Zackary, Daniel, Matthew, Emily, Joshua, Jacob, Austin Halle, Arianna and Conner.

The funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Bronislava Catholic Church, with the Rev. James Trempe officiating. Burial in the St. Bronislava Parish Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass Friday at the church. The Pisarski Community Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Obituary

Camille C. Singer

Camille C. Singer, 71, 1811 Post Road, Plover, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002, at St. Michael's Hospital.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Catholic church in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Robert Schaller officiating. Burial will be in St. Bronislava Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Wednesday in the Faustina Room of St. Peter Catholic Church until the services.

A memorial in her name will be established at a later date.

Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Singer was born Nov. 3, 1930, in the town of Buena Vista, a daughter of the late Adolph and Regina (Gruba) Ciseski. she attended school in Almond and graduated from Almond High School in 1948.

She was married to Raymond J. Singer on June 16, 1956, at St. Martin Catholic Church in Buena Vista.

After the marriage they settled in Plover and have lived at their present address the past 46 years.

She worked for Hardware Mutual Insurance, Whiting-Plover Paper Mills and A.S.C. office until 1963 when she stopped working to raise a family.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Jeff (Michele Noel), Racine; three daughters, Gina (Dale) Boettcher, Custer, Heidi (Kody) Brost, Portage, and Peggy (Al) Pavelski, Stevens Point; one brother, David (Janet) Ciseski, Plover, and nine grandchildren.
