Notes for ALICE WROBLEWSKI: Stevens Point Daily Journal Wednesday, October 28, 1987 Obituary Szalewski services Services for Mrs. Ernest (Alice) Szalewski will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Adalbert Church on Rosholt. The Rev. Donald Walczak will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at the Dzikoski/Pisarski Funeral Home. St. Adalbert Rosary Society, of which she was a member, will pray with the general rosary at 8 p.m. Mrs. Szalewski, 67, 234 Locust Road, Rosholt, town of Alban, died Monday evening at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee. She had been a patient there for one month and in ill health for two years. She was born Aug. 27, 1920, in Portage County, daughter of the late John and Martha Wroblewski. She attended local schools. She was married to Ernest Szalewski on June 30, 1945, in Milwaukee. They settled in Milwaukee. Mrs. Szalewski was employed at the Briggs and Stratton Manufacturing Co. for 18 years as a punch press operator, retiring in 1972 due to disability. They moved to their present address in 1978. Her husband survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Judith) Clark, Milwaukee, Mrs. David (Suzanne) Budsberg, Amherst Junction, and Mrs. John (Kathleen) Ostrowski, Rosholt; one son, Ronald, Rosholt; 12 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Florence Maslowski, Milwaukee, Mrs. Ernest (Regina) Jisko, Fox Lake, and Mrs. Walter (Evelyn) Warner, Greendale; and four brothers, Daniel, Bernard, Edward and Harry, all of Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by one brother.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Adalbert's Catholic Church, Rosholt. The Rev. Donald Walczak will officiate. Burial is in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home. The rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Born Sept. 4, 1916, in the town of Alban, he was a son of the late Teofil and Rosalie (Golomski) Szalewski. He attended local schools. He was married to Alice Wroblewski on June 30, 1945, in Milwaukee. She died on Oct. 26, 1987. After the marriage, the couple settled in Milwaukee, moving to the present address in 1978. Mr. Szalewski worked at Wehr Steel Co. in Milwaukee for more than 30 years, retiring in 1978. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include three daughters, Judith (Richard) Clark, Lannon, Suzanne (David) Budsberg, Rosholt, and Kathleen (John) Ostrowski, Rosholt; one son, Ronald (Renee) Szalewski, Rosholt; 13 grandchildren; four brothers, Paul (Clementine) Szalewski, Amherst Junction, Harry Szalewski, Wausau, Frank Szalewski, Plainfield, and Ben (Betty) Szalewski, Menomonoee Falls; two sisters, Angeline (Leo) Yenter, Rosholt, and Frances (Woodrow) Firkus, Berlin; and his fiancee, Isabel Ostrowski, Whiting. He was preceded in death by five brothers, and three sisters.
