Notes for JOHN C. STERLAVAGE: Stevens Point Daily Journal Thursday, November 28, 1973 Obituary John C. Sterlavage Funeral services for John C. Sterlavage, 51, Milwaukee, a native of Stevens Point, will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church at noon on Thursday. The Rev. Chester Zielinski will officiate and burial will be made in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Mr. Sterlavage died Monday at the Veterans Administration Hospital at Wood. He had been a patient there since Sept. 30. He was born in Stevens Point on June 23, 1923, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Sterlavage. He attended St. Peter's school and was graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1940. He served in the Army in World War II until 1945, and was on overseas duty in Australia and the Southwestern Pacific. He had been employed in Milwaukee since his discharge from service. He married Catherine Casper in March 1956 at Milwaukee, and they were later divorced. He is survived by three sons, John C., Joseph L., and James D. Sterlavage and one daughter Su Ann, all residing with their mother at Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral arrangements have been made by the Feerick Funeral Service of Milwaukee. Memorial contributions may be made to charities of the donors choice.
